Plassey is a beautiful black show jumping
mare by the legendary Cavalier Royal (Holstein/Selle
Francais stallion) out of an Irish Thoroughbred
mare (Plassey Girl). Cavalier Royal is currently
4th in the WBFSH rankings for eventing and
46th for showjumping!
Plassey is a grade A show jumper and has
over £3000 of BSJA winnings both actual
and notional. Until 2009 she was competing
and winning 1.30m classes and has a very
consistent competition history.
Her BSJA print out speaks for itself - Out
of approximately 75 listings, she was unplaced
only 3 times, the rest are mainly 1sts and
2nds. She has competed and won at The Royal
Highland Show and has jumped 1m60 in a puissance.
Her sire Cavalier Royal was by the famous
Cor de la Bryere - probably the leading sire
in the world of top performers in all three
disciplines. Cavalier has been responsible
for many great show jumping and eventing
horses including : -
- Royal charmer - ridden by Marcus Fuchs,
he won the 120,000 euro challenge in San
Paulo (2007).
- Ben along time - ridden by Clayton Fredricks
to win the Rolex Kentucky CCI **** and named
"horse of the year" in Australian
Equestrian Federations national sport awards.
- Call again Cavalier - ridden by Mary King
winning individual silver medal 2007 European
chamioinships, team bronze Hong Kong Olympics
2008, team silver World equestrian games
in Aachen 2008 and British Open championships
at Gatcombe.
- Imperial Cavalier - ridden by Mary King,
widely thought to be one of the most expensive
eventers ever to change hands. 4th Badminton
2010.
